Ether 12:27:
"And if men come unto me, I will show unto them their weakness, I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."
Through the tone of this scripture we are shown the great love that the Lord has for us and how much he is willing to give and do for us. The tone appeals to any audience, because as humans we all know that we have weaknesses, and this scripture provides a way for us to overcome these weaknesses and achieve strength.
I like this scripture because it reminds me in times of trial that it is okay to be weak, and that it is through these weaknesses that we can draw nearer to Christ. I have had many struggles in my life and it is only through Christ's grace and willingness to forgive me that I have been able to repent and come closer to Him. I feel that in times of trial I am much closer to Him and reminded of how much He means to me. If we put our faith in the Lord and realize that we are not perfect, then He will help us in all things, even those that may seem impossible.

I the Lord uses an appeal to ethos when he says "...for if they have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them." When He gives the reader an example of what it is that he can do if we just place our faith in him, He gives also gives the reader a reason to trust Him.
