Killings by drug cartels in Mexico have dramatically increased over the past few years. It used to be that these cartel gangs would ship drugs to the U.S. and other countries thanks to the globalization of the illegal substance industry. Now, these gangs are fighting over who gets to sell what and where within Mexico. This battle over territory has led to an influx of killings these past couple of years.
Questions:
1) How has the drug industry become globalized? What means were necessary to accomplish this?
2) Examine the statistics of drug use in Mexico as opposed to drug exports and see how it might correlate to increase of violence in Mexico?
3) Correlate drug use numbers in Mexico to drug use numbers in the U.S.
4) Examine multiple countries and research what factors make a country more prone to drug use and violence.
5) Compare the process of globalizing the drug industry with that of a major corporation and show how they are essentially identical.
6) Compare Mexico with another country that has low drug use and subsequent violence and address the issues that Mexico could fix in order to decrease its drug related issues.

This sounds like a pretty intense topic. I can really tell that you put a lot of thought into the related questions. One other idea might be to explore what difference drug laws in different countries makes.
