Mosiah 14:5

Mosiah 14:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

The use of imagery and diction in this verse gets the reader emotionally involved and helps them visualize what Christ went through so that we can become clean and return to live with our Father in Heaven. This verse is loaded with heavy words such as wounded, bruised, and stripes. The word choices cause emotions to raise in the reader and lets the reader know the importance of this verse. The tools used in this verse have touched my life and opened my eyes to Christ's love for us.

This really is quite an amazing verse. The imagery indeed sparks an emotion inside the reader, that would help them realize all that the Savior did for each of us.

I think the pathos in this verse is incredible. Like seriously it tells all this amazing stuff that Jesus did for us how can we not follow him?
