Through writing this opinion editorial i learned that writing takes a lot more time when you are striving to have an excellent argument and a paper that addresses all counter arguments well. This paper took me a long time, in particular the revising took a lot longer than most other papers i have written. I think that it is very well written, i hope the teacher thinks the same. I think that if i had more time that i really could have even more fine tuned this paper and make it pretty much perfect. But alas i am in college with many of classes and can't take the time.
I think that really my own voice in this paper improved. I feel that when i write i tend to be very monotone and not very interesting. I learned that rhetoric is harder than it seems. But i know now how to argue better. I believe that my karios was correctly addressed both to BYU student body but also to the legislature of BYU so i think that my argument was well made and i hope that it can make a difference.
