Publishing the Parking Problem

I shared my Opinion Editorial with a candidate for student body vice president. He shared my feelings that parking on campus is a serious issue. He had already thought of several ways that he was planning on dealing with the issue. He was going to meet with city officials to open up city streets for parking and to improve the university's image in the community. He had also thought of meeting with city bus planners to change routes to make them more convenient for students. The ideas of permanent solutions such as a parking garage and campus shuttle also sparked his interest. I hope that as he finds a position of authority that he can make these plans a reality.

I think it's cool that you got to share your essay with someone in such a position. Hopefully they will get elected and put some of your ideas to work.

That is great that you could share your opinion editorial with someone who can make a difference on your issue. I think it makes a big difference in your writing when you know you are going to share your paper rather than just turn it in.
