The imagery used in this song really affects the emotion of the reader. Everyone can relate to that feeling and the imagery brings that feeling back to the audience.
If you listen to this song, the emotion can definately be felt while he is singing. The words combined with the tone of the artist make for a great message for the listener.
I really like the idea of greeting life with arms wide open. I think that phrase is something everyone can relate to when they remember how they reacted to new experiences. You have to be open to new ideas. This song does a really good job helping the audience to understand how important life is.

This song is very powerful emotionally. Too bad they broke up and the singer went kind of crazy because I always thought Creed had good rhythm and interesting lyrics to send their message. I think they were a christian band if I'm not mistaken...
Yeah Lance I'm pretty sure they were a Christan band. Also their songs have a wonderful beat and all that jazz, they did a wonderful job sending the message that needed to be sent.
This is a great song. When I was reading through the lyrics, the same part that you used as your example for imagery stuck out to me. That is a great example for imagery, it paints a picture for the listener.
