AIDS and globalization

Citation: Masci, David. "Global AIDS Crisis." CQ Researcher 10.35 (2000): 809-832. CQ Researcher Online. CQ Press. Your library's name, city, state abbreviation. 5 Mar. 2009 http://library.cqpress.com/cqresearcher/cqresrre2000101300.

Source: CQ Researcher
Author: David Masci
Timeliness: October 13, 2000
Evidence: There are many sources of information listed at the end of the article.
Biases: This article is not very biased. However, there are parts where the author discusses that the United States has not done enough to help with the AIDS problem.
Advertising: CQ Researcher is not trying to sell anything. There are no ads to persuade someone to buy something.

Although this article was written in 2000, it provides good information on how AIDS has spread and become a worldly issue. The author uses facts and straight forward information to portray the problem of AIDS. The information used throughout the article seemed very accurate and reliable, and I think it will help me in my paper.

A 2000 source is okay, but I would be careful to make sure that a majority of your sources are from more current dates. The AIDS problem is ever increasing and you paper would be much stronger if you talked about problems happening right now.

I agree with Scott, however, I find that information from 2000 may be applicable depending on what it is about. Over the years there have been different changes made on AIDS and perhaps you could use this research to show those differences. I think you have a very interesting topic and I am excited to see your final paper!
