Blogging
When the blog was first introduced to us, I had mixed feelings about how it would go. While I have had a love-hate relationship with it, it has been more positive than negative. I definitely prefer doing blog posts for assignments than "busy work" and most of the posts have been relatively easy yet fun and interesting. My favorite part would definitely be receiving comments on my work. Doing the peer reviews made it easier to improve my papers and connect with the other class members. I also like that when we have something big due in class that we don't have blog postst due so it makes for a nice balance. Because of this blog, I have stayed more connected with what we are learning in class compared to my other classes. While the blog can get a little tiresome and monotonous, overall I think the idea is a winner and would like to see this in my other classes where it could be a benefit to me.

I agree on the "busy work" assignments. Things like posting our thesis REALLY helped, but some of the other assignments seemed like it was just pressure to maintain regular posting (which, admittedly does help to maintain the "community").
What I did like though was the aspect of being able to stay up to date on assignments by checking online and seeing other people's work - when we have just a paper schedule, I often forget things.
It is definitely a way of extending the classroom to a medium we each use every day.
