Technology and Poverty

I have been researching the subject of technologies and the effect that they have on alleviating poverty. Because of the nature of the topic, the viewpoints that are presented are really more like examples of how technology is affecting the efforts to end poverty.

1. One of the viewpoints sees the many impoverished countries as an opportunity to develop technology that is meant to help said countries situation.(Ribich, Walker)

2. Another viewpoint is that some of the money rarely gets to the people who actually need it due to the corruption in that countries government.(Parr)

3. One other viewpoint is that on the actual definition on what poverty really is.(SIRS researcher, Williams)

4. The last viewpoint is that of the effect poverty has on the rest of the world economically(Mattoo)
