Ocean Withdrawals

I miss the ocean.
The wind that touches my face is like a crisp gentle hand massaging me.
Off into the distance glorious wave’s crash.
No wave is the same, and there all magnificent.
I can hear them now crashing into the rich yellow sand.
The moon on the water is like a beacon of light that aluminates the soul.
The smell of the salty air as you approach the beach.
I miss the sunsets that disappear into the horizon.
The sun is a glorious red, like a giant apple as it kisses the water and trades places with the moon.
The coastline is beautiful and it’s like a calendar of the years that have past.
The breeze in your hair and on your face, oh man it’s like an angel is leading you along.
Those late nights with friends, jumping off the pier was always scary because the thought of sharks was near.
The bonfires on warm summer nights are always a treat.
Snuggling with your loved one in the sand as you watch the waves is a delicacy.
When a storm hits the ocean it’s like an extravagant water fight and when in a sheltered place it’s quite a show.
I remember waking up at dawn, and sitting on the beach, preparing my surfboard and jumping in.
The water is brisk, but how it feels to duck under a wave is surreal.
It’s a place to go to ponder on your life.
I enjoyed watching marvelous creatures, such as dolphins propelling themselves out of the water to do a flip.
The glimmering light that the ocean reflects from the sun brings joy to my eyes no matter what trials I’m dealing with.
The ocean puts me at complete peace.
It’s more then just a playground; it is truly a touch of heaven.
All the beauty and memories the ocean has brought turns it into an old friend.
No matter where I go in life, the ocean, the environment, the emotions, the peace and the memories will still be there engraved into the sands.

I Require a Visit from the Sandman

Mixing it up

This semester is very difficult and very busy.
I am swamped with homework this semester.
Homework and studying take up all of my time this semester.
"Scott, do you want to hang out? Oh, never mind, I can see you'll be up all night AGAIN doing homework."
I would love to shoot some hoops with you but my schedule is slammed.
I just don't know when I can help you. School is pretty much a full time thing this semester.
Who has time to go to the game? I know I don't!
Will the homework ever stop?
Does anybody else have no free time besides me?
How can my roommates always be playing video games? Homework doesn't give me any time for that!
Let me check my schedule real quick. Oh wait, I remember now, I am up to my neck in homework!
I wish homework had an offseason just like sports. Everybody needs some rest now and again.
My fitness has declined this semester because of so much homework.
Remind me to never sign up for 16.5 credits again.
The readings I have to do are becoming unbearable. They take up so much time.
I love the weekends. I can actually get my homework done on those days.
Who would like to climb up my mountain of homework with me?
Mt. Everest can't compare to the height of my homework pile.
I just love it when homework occupies 90% of my time.

Rain, Rain...Don't Go Away

I love the rain...

Raindrops pouring from the sky makes me smile.

The ability to drink water from the heavens is amazing.

Puddles are fun to splash in.

It rarely rained in my hometown, which created excitement when it did.

Singing in the rain allows me to be free.

Skipping down a wet sidewalk reminds me that life is great.

The feeling of rain after a hard work out is beautiful.

Smells of earth's fresh scent permeates the universe.

My face brightens when I feel the drops fall.

Running in the rain makes me happy.

The search for the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow brings happiness to my life.

Rain makes the air cooler, which is amazing in Arizona.

The beauty of individual raindrops on a leaf gives me a peaceful feeling.

Rain reminds me of the beauty of the earth.

Twirling an umbrella in my hands makes me giggle.

I enjoy watching the rain fall outside my window.

Catching raindrops in my mouth is a fun game.

Wet footprints right inside the doorways brighten my day.
