KSL.com has a German Shepherd for $100

We want to get a dog.

The apartment's a little empty.
There's no one to greet us when we get back from work.
There's no one to bark when the doorbell rings.
There's no one to bark for absolutely no reason.
There's no one to go on a walk with us.
A dog would really make this place home.
A wagging tail really brightens up your day.
There's nothing like a lick in the face first thing in the morning.
Man's best friend.
The lease won't allow it.
We don't have the space either.
Where would the money come from?
We wouldn't have the time.
It wouldn't get much attention.
It would get all the attention in the world while we were home.
It'd be like having a kid.
We could play with it all the time.
We could take it on walks.
We could tell it to stop barking.
We could get frustrated when it wouldn't listen.
There's still the lack of space.
There's still the lease.
...maybe what we really want is a house.
By we I mean my wife.

I really like that your post was continuous, it was almost like a story which made it more interesting to read. I think they should get the dog.

I like the way you describe life without a dog. The way you wrote this makes the reader vote to get the dog.

Oh I agree completely. My dog passed away a few years ago and I would love to get another one, but between going to school and working, I just don't think it would be fair to adopt a dog and then not be able to care for it properly. $100 is a really good price for a German shepherd though.

Good! I was worried that making it progressive like that would defeat the purpose - so I'm glad someone enjoyed it.

Yeah making it continuous made all the difference.
