Genocide in Darfur

Major viewpoints on the crisis in Darfur:

1. The crisis in Darfur is more complicated than the media makes it sound. This crisis cannot be labeled as genocide. (Kasfir, Marquand, Straus)

2. The internationally community has failed in protecting and helping Darfur, which is their responsibility. (Reeves, Waal, Mills,Leaning)

3. The crisis in Darfur can be defined as genocide and should receive immediate international help. (Reeves, Prunier)

4. Scholars disagree about what should be done to end the crisis in Darfur; some believe a solution is impossible to find, while others believe aid will relieve the suffering. (Murphey, Moszynski)
