The Opinion Editorial I wrote was on the Brigham Young University Testing Center. Throughout the paper I learned many valuable attributes on how college papers are suppose to be written. During the writing process, I first started my paper with facts and figures, not realizing that the paper was meant for those individuals attending BYU. Once I caught a groove of my writing style and audience, I began writing for the reader and not the boring broad range my previous paper contained. For the future in writing I’ve learned to identify my ideas first. Following those ideas in my head I learned that mapping out the structure of the paper is necessary to combine all my thoughts. Finishing off the paper, I need to write it from a perspective to appeal to the audience I’m aiming for.
I do believe that my paper was in the right context and is agreed with BYU students around campus. In the future I believe that I need to just relax and figure out how to relate to the reader in a stronger way. After a long difficult process I finally caught on with this Opinion Editorial. With each peer edit I need to sit down and read the papers thoroughly. I’ve found that by doing so my paper greatly benefits. Also by taking constructive criticism, I find my paper becomes even more appealing to those individuals reading it. Overall, the assignment was educational and considerably helpful.

I agree that writing a college paper is a whole new experience, but something that I am beginning to get better at, and sometimes enjoy. I like how you explained things you had to change with each draft, and how it was through the correction of those mistakes that your paper became much better.
I agree that it is really important to spend more time thinking about your ideas. Usually I don't think things through very well before I start writing and so many of my sentences are jumbled.
